Jan 6, 2016- Five people were killed and 29 got injured in an accident near at Saurikulan in Ghorahi-Tulsipur road section on early Wednesday.
The accident occurred when a bus (Ra 1 Ka 991) belonging to Padmodaya Public High School collided with a Kia vehicle (Ra 1 Ja 37) at Saurikulan in Tripur municipality-3. Five people including the driver of the Kia vehicle lost their lives in the accident. Driver Manpur, Dang resident Dhan Bahadur Thapa, passengers Sabnam Ansari, 26, of Narayanpur and one-and-half-year-old Hemant Bista of Salyan Kavra have been identified as dead. The identity of two deceased women is yet to be found.
Twelve injured have been referred to Nepalgunj and the remaining are receiving treatment at Rapti Sub Regional Hospital, Dang Police Chief ASP Kuber Kadayat said.
Poilce have suspected that the accident could have taken place due to poor visibility of roads due to fog in the morning. Police has informed that Kia vehicle was carrying passengers over its capacity.
